Research

At the Institute of Geography around fifty scientists are researching in the two main research areas of "Man-Environment" and "Migration and Globalisation". The priorities of Osnabrück Geography lie equally in basic research and application-oriented research. We consider interdisciplinarity and international cooperation to be natural requirements of a modern academic culture. The Institute is divided into five working groups that cooperate in a variety of ways:

Research at the Institute is largely integrated into the research centres "Institute for Environmental Systems Research" (IUSF) and "Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies" (IMIS).
