Value Chains and Consumer Decisions – Remote Effects of Governance and Product Biographies Using Cocoa as an Example

Welcome to our website!

We are pleased to welcome you on the page of our project Value Chains and Consumption Decisions - Remote Effects of Governance and Product Biographies Using Cocoa as an Example. As an interdisciplinary team of researchers at Osnabrück University, we work with national and international partners in order to approach the complexity of cocoa from the perspective of our respective disciplines.
We will travel to Ghana to investigate the origin of Ghanaian cocoa and follow its trade routes to the centers of cocoa consumption. A journey from the roots to the kitchen cupboard, so to speak.
We kindly invite you to find out more about the various scientific perspectives from which our project aims to advance our understanding of the global cocoa trade originating in Ghana and the paradigms we apply in its investigation.
