WP5: Further development of the Global Production Network approach

The Global Production Networks (GPN) approach identifies risks as drivers of strategic business decisions (e.g. Yeung/Coe 2015). On the one hand, the project investigates the significance of different forms of political risks (e.g. changes in regulation, influence of politics on consumer behavior, legal uncertainty) on strategic corporate decisions; on the other hand, it also derives an extension of the existing analytical categories of the GPN approach. Thus, it makes an innovative contribution to the current scientific discourse.
